20 Mule Team Days

Today was a very long day, which I don’t mind – but it was not what I’d call a good day of tintyping. Don’t get me wrong, a bad day of photography with friends is better than a good day at work!

When I got to Boron, there was a train parked on the tracks. The event was just on the other side of the tracks. It took 45 minutes to get the train moving; we were 30 minutes late to begin setup. Sigh.

We didn’t get any shots of the parade or the 20 Mule Team pulling the wagon. It was just too far from our setup to get an image.

This was the third time using the new posing booth. It works great in full sun. In shade – not so much.

In any case, once the event got going there were lots of people walking by. I’ve found at street fair type events we have to have a sample with us to show people. They just aren’t used to the type of vendor we are at those type of activities. Reenactments are great. We ended up spending time with a pair of twin sisters and a trio of siblings and making images of them. It was fun to explain the process and a bit of the history to teems who seemed genuinely interested.

On to the photos! Oh, and sorry for the wonkiness. My main cell phone camera is on the fritz, so I have to use the wide angle camera.

Our setup.
